500g granulated sugar

Ingredients for the Drink (makes 850ml, serving 10)

For the Cordial: Combine the listed items in a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Next, remove from the heat allowing it to cool down fully. Decant into an sealable bottle, close it and refrigerate it chilled, it will last for around a month.

Preparing the Cocktail Base: Combine all the spirits and syrup into a sizeable container, leave to sit for one hour, then strain preferably using muslin, to ensure it's completely strained.

For serving: Add 85ml of the premix into your mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring carefully for about 60 seconds until cold. Filter to a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, garnish with a few cranberries and complete it by giving it a brief mist of the essential oil over the top.
